Give Time

Launched in April 2009, NYC Service is Mayor Michael Bloomberg's response to President Barack Obama's call to embrace a new era of service. NYC Service has launched more than 30 initiatives and tens of thousands of New Yorkers have engaged in giving back. The three goals of NYC Service are to mitigate the effects of the economic downturn with volunteer support, make New York City the easiest place to volunteer, and ensure every young person is taught about civic engagement and given an opportunity to volunteer.
