Spread the health!

Whether you live here, work here, or come for a visit, a healthy New York City is a gift to us all. Please consider donating to help us address obesity, promote healthier homes and protect vulnerable newborns.

Introduce families to healthy foods

A majority of residents in NYC's poorest neighborhoods are overweight or obese and many don't know where to find affordable healthy foods or how to prepare them. Your donation will provide "Health Bucks" to people who haven't visited a farmer's market before and introduce them to buying and preparing fruits and vegetables. To donate now click here and please designate "Health Bucks" when you make your donation. To learn more about this initiative click here.

Help a family make their home safe and healthy

Dangers such as fires, poisonings, pests and accidents can be prevented, but many families in NYC's poorest neighborhoods don't have the resources to make their homes safe and healthy for children. A donation of $100 will provide a family with a "Healthy Home Kit" that includes: smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, cleaning supplies to reduce dust hazards that contribute to asthma, outlet covers, cabinet locks, a pest control guide, and supplies to prevent pests from entering homes. To donate now click here and please designate "Healthy Homes" when you make your donation. To learn more about this initiative click here.

Provide a safe place for a new baby to sleep

There are an estimated 10,000 families with new babies each year in NYC that do not have a safe place for their newborns to sleep. Many of these at-risk infants live in crowded housing, have transient families, or their families cannot afford to purchase a safe crib. Cribs for Kids provides a portable crib and safe sleep education for families in need. $100 will provide a family with a crib, sheets and safe sleep education. To donate now click here and please designate "Cribs" when you make your donation. To learn more about this initiative click here.
